Dr. Shawn Allen graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon. He has had life long association with chiropractic from the time he was in high school and was treated by a chiropractor for a football injury.

After high school he joined the Oregon Air National Guard as a full time guardsman. He worked there for 8 years before moving to Arizona to work at Boeing in Mesa. While at Boeing he worked as a Customer Support Engineer on the Apache program while going to school for a Software Engineering degree. At that time he decided that he would really like to become a chiropractor and moved back to Oregon to complete his education.

At Western States he learned about the importance of traditional chiropractic and nutrition. He also took electives including Graston technique and cold laser. He has used all of these treatment options while treating patients.

After completing his education at Western States, he took an internship at TrueNorth Health, a medically monitored, long term, water fasting facility in Santa Rosa California. While there he monitored dozens of patients who were water-fasting for numerous reasons. His duties included helping educate patients on the importance of nutrition and exercise when dealing with chronic conditions. While there he also participated and completed a 20 day water fast.

He has worked at Rehabilitation Chiropractic in Mesa with Dr. Abrams since June of 2009, first as a part of the office staff, later as a chiropractic assistant while waiting for his Arizona license. He is looking forward to learning the non-force technique from Dr. Abrams and is planning on adding acupuncture to the list of treatment options for his patients.

He is the father to two wonderful, active kids and is the husband to a fantastically supportive wife.
